The inaugural BaTT Forum, part of the ALBATTS – Alliance for Batteries Technology, Training and Skills project, took place in Skellefteå, Sweden. This event, funded by the Erasmus+ Sector Skills Alliances Programme, was a key output from the project’s Education and Training work.
The first edition of the forum primarily targeted ALBATTS partners’ teachers and trainers, but also included participants from various organizations, bringing together 31 educators from the Czech Republic, Finland, Germany, Norway, Portugal, Slovenia, and Sweden.
Day 1 Highlights:
- Introduction to the ALBATTS project and BaTT Forum goals.
- Presentations from Northvolt and a tour of its premises, focusing on skills and competencies development for the new battery Gigafactory in Skellefteå.
- Discussions on new job roles and skills in the battery sector, based on ALBATTS project results.
Day 2 Highlights:
- Visit to Skellefteå Vocational Centre for Adult Education, showcasing their Machine Operators course and advanced training labs.
- Review and feedback session on the new ALBATTS training on Batteries Basic, exemplifying future collaborative efforts in the forum.
The event concluded with a workshop on soft skills for the battery sector.
