BaTT Teachers Forum 2025: Connecting Education with the Automotive Future

From 1–3 October 2025, educators and industry experts from across Europe gathered in Ostrava and Nošovice, Czech Republic, for the BaTT Teachers Forum – Course on the Automotive Industry & Batteries. The three-day event, co-funded by the European Union under the CaBatt project, brought together 43 participants from nine countries to explore the future of mobility, innovation, and skills in the battery and automotive sectors.

University Innovation

The first day took place at VSB – Technical University of Ostrava, where participants explored cutting-edge research at the IT4Innovations Supercomputing Centre, the Smart Factory Lab, and the Mobility Lab. From quantum computing and automation robots to autonomous vehicles and digital twins, attendees experienced technologies shaping tomorrow’s industry.

Industry Immersion

Day two offered a unique look inside Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Czech in Nošovice. Participants followed the entire car production process, explored battery integration, and even tested the Kona EV. The day concluded with a visit to the Radegast Brewery, highlighting Czech industrial heritage and craftsmanship.

Knowledge Exchange

The final day returned to VSB-TUO for interactive workshops, expert talks on battery passports and education in manufacturing, and a collaborative Learning Café session fostering peer exchange and future cooperation.

The BaTT Teachers Forum successfully combined hands-on learning, industry insights, and European collaboration, inspiring educators to bring innovation from industry into the classroom.
